For sharp focus I set my camera to focus on the closest subject. Since the aperture is small enough (f10 today, for example) even if it focuses on nose the eyes are still sharp. I use tripod and remote control.

A boring one for today. For those who asked about how do I light in my images: I use four Nikon speed lights with different kind of modifiers, for example, reflective and transparent umbrellas, soft boxes and also reflectors. I usually shot in the evening so for make-up I mostly refresh the old one and voilà. My preferred f stops vary from 8 to 11, and ISO from 100 to 200. I shoot with Nikon D300 exclusively.
